UK Pastors Win Victory Over ‘Hate Crime’ Accusation

British Christian evangelists Michael Overd and Michael Stockwell were convicted and fined in February for “hate speech” against Muslims and homosexuals for reading from the King James Bible and preaching to a crowd of about 100 people that Jesus was the only way to God.

Now, thanks to a judge at the Bristol Crown Court, the two pastors have won their appeal. “At a time where Christians are becoming increasingly fearful about expressing their beliefs in the public space, this is a welcome and needed result,” said Andrea Williams from the Christian Legal Center, which has been supporting the preachers.
