Gov. Abbott of Texas signed the County Clerk Freedom Bill, which allows county clerks to leave their names off marriage licenses and applications if they object to a marriage on religious grounds. This is good news for those county clerks who don’t want to have their names attached to a same-sex “marriage” in the Lone Star State. The bill goes into effect September 1.
