Thirteen-year-old salutatorian Seth Clark of Akin, Ill., wanted to talk about God in his grade-school graduation speech to his small group of classmates but was denied the opportunity by the school district’s superintendent, Kelly Clark, who pulled his speech. One of the young Mr. Clark’s neighbors came up with a solution; he invited students to come to his house across from the school after the graduation so that the young Clark could give his speech about God’s forgiveness and living a holy life. An estimated 50–60 people took him up on the invitation.
