40 Days for Life Begins

More than 200,000 prayer volunteers with 40 Days for Life will stand and pray outside abortion clinics and hospitals in 340 cities and 30 countries from Ash Wednesday through April 9, and we need to be praying for this worldwide right-to-life effort. As Shawn Carney, the president of 40 Days for Life, explains, “The hatred of Donald Trump is being directed at the pro-life movement. The climate is much more hostile to our movement.” The good news is that so far, 83 abortion facilities have closed their doors after 40 Days vigils were held.

NBA Ticket Sales Are Down the Toilet

Since yanking its 2017 All-Star game out of North Carolina because state leaders passed a bathroom bill that protected the privacy of women and children instead of pandering to the “transgender” community, ticket sales for ball games have fallen. Some say that could just be All-Star fatigue, but others wonder if the real reason is because fans are tired of the NBA engaging in far-Left politics.

Facebook Censors Christian Mom for Quoting the Bible

Elizabeth Johnston, aka the “Activist Mommy,” quickly found out this week that Facebook’s new “inclusive community” didn’t like her quoting Scripture verses about homosexuality when she was frozen out of her account twice for the post. When she was able to regain access, she discovered Facebook had deleted her post that used Old and New Testament sources to argue that the Bible condemns homosexuality. “The post Facebook deleted included no name-calling, no threats, and no harassment. It was intellectual discussion and commentary on the Bible,” she said.

Jane Roe Dies

Norma McCorvey, also know as the famous Jane Roe of the 1973 Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade, recently died at 69 from heart failure. As Roe, McCorvey sued the state of Texas because abortion was illegal in the Lone Star State and she found herself with an unwanted pregnancy at the time. Despite being part of one of the most highly publicized cases, McCorvey not only did not abort any children once abortion became legalized, but she became a pro-life Christian. She leaves behind three daughters. “Though she was the Jane Roe of Roe vs. Wade, she worked hard for the day when that decision would be reversed,” the family wrote in a letter.

CPAC Averts Major Meltdown

As the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) meets this week in the nation’s capital, the group nearly missed a major snafu. The group had invited Breitbart’s gay senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos to be a featured speaker but quickly changed course when it was discovered that he approved of boy-man love and might even approve of pedophilia. Writes commentator Dr. Michael Brown, “while CPAC is a political organization rather than a religious one, if it fails to hold the line on gay activism, it will cease to be truly conservative.”
