Planned Parenthood’s Core Mission Revealed in Latest Annual Report

The 2017-2018 report reveals that abortion services is what Planned Parenthood is truly all about.

While it continues to use the tagline “to provide care, no matter what” in its latest annual report, the reality is that when you look at the numbers properly, Planned Parenthood’s definition of “care” seems to be more about taking the lives of the unborn. In fact, one could almost rewrite the tagline to be “to provide abortions, no matter what.”

On January 8, Dr. Leana Wen tweeted on her personal Twitter account, “First, our core mission is providing, protecting and expanding access to abortion and reproductive health care. We will never back down from that fight—it’s a fundamental human right and women’s lives are at stake.”

In 2017-18 Planned Parenthood reported 332,757 abortions, a jump of more than 11,000 from the previous year, while there was no increase in unique patients. Abortions made up 96 percent of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy resolution services and non-abortion services continued to decline, as they have dramatically over the last decade. The “nonprofit” raked in a record income of $1.6 billion, with taxpayer funding making up nearly 34 percent of its overall revenue.
