New Jane Doe Decision Could Open Up America as Abortion Destination

On Tuesday, the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled 6-3 that the U.S. government had to facilitate an abortion for a 17-year-old illegal immigrant known only as Jane Doe, turning around the Court’s earlier stay that had originally prevented the abortion. Jane Doe, who resides at a Texas shelter and was about 16-weeks pregnant, had her abortion on Wednesday. Her reaction to having her demands met was simply, “This is my life, my decision. I want a better future. I want justice.” Pro-aborts are hoping this new “right to abortion,” paid for by American taxpayers, will be extended to all illegal immigrants in U.S. custody.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, said, “We unequivocally reject abortion advocates’ narrative that justice has been done in this case. Instead the extreme agenda of the abortion lobby and the ACLU has claimed two victims and made a cruel mockery of the ‘American dream.’” And said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, “Shame on Planned Parenthood and the ACLU for using this teenager to try and create Roe v. Wade 2.0 in the courts.”
