MDOH2015-250pxFor decades, every group imaginable, from business and industry interests to those advocating for social causes and government answers to life’s problems, has converged on our state Capitol to learn about the issues and meet their state elected officials—everyone except the ministers who serve our local churches.

But not any longer!

On February 24th,2015, The Family Action Council of Tennessee along with the Tennessee Governmental Prayer Alliance and Tennessee Pastors Network partnered together for Ministers’ Day on the Hill at the Old Supreme Court Chambers at the state Capitol. This special day began with a welcome and greeting from House Speaker Beth Harwell and provided ministers:

  • A briefing on legislation affecting the family, life, and religious liberty
  • An understanding of the legislative process and their influence on it
  • An opportunity to pray with and for their state elected officials

Lunch featured remarks by Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey at 12:00 NOON CST in William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, 312 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. (between Charlotte and Union), directly behind the War Memorial Building, which is at 301 6th Avenue North.

We were pleased with this year’s turnout. We hope all who came drew encouragement from other like-minded ministers and those whom Scripture calls “ministers of God!”
