The Apostle Paul reminds us to pray for those in authority, and so we should. But often we don’t know if there is something specific for which we should be praying. That’s particularly true at the state level and particularly when the Legislature is not even in session.
But our governor-elect, Bill Lee, is right now making some of the most important decisions he will have to make—the selection of 23 individuals who will serve in his cabinet and those five or six persons who will be on his personal staff, such as his policy advisory, chief of staff, and legal counsel. These people will have significant and sometimes even determinative effect on Mr. Lee’s policy decisions.
So, join us in praying he will surround himself with those who reverence God and faithfully seek God’s wisdom.
