Big Sponsors Pull Out of Saturday’s Women’s March

It’s quite ironic that several high-profile organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign, NARAL, Southern Poverty Law Center, and EMILY’s List are withdrawing their sponsorship of the left-leaning Women’s March that celebrates abortion.

They have pulled out due to women’s march leaders’ ties with anti-semitism, particularly Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.

Not one to bad-mouth their own, these liberal groups are trying to justify their withdrawal to conservative media outlets by saying “other projects are a priority.” The liberal media has barely given a nod to this huge story.

As The Federalist’s Warren Henry says, “While the discord within the march has received at least a modicum of coverage from the establishment media, the seeming abandonment by top-tier political groups has been generally ignored.”

Other reliable liberal groups such as the ACLU, the American Federation of Teachers, the Democratic National Committee, and Planned Parenthood remain as sponsors.

The 2019 “Power Together” Tennessee Women’s March is this Saturday, January 19, from 1- 4 p.m. at 1 Public Square in Nashville.
