One of the most articulate defenders of true marriage, Ryan Anderson from The Heritage Foundation, spoke recently before a legislative committee and laid out why limiting marriage to that between a man and a woman is essential.
Among other points, he noted that “[i]f the biggest social problem we face right now in the United States is absentee dads, how will we insist that dads are essential when the law redefines marriage to make fathers optional?”
- A new academic study based on the Canadian census suggests that a married mom and dad matter for children. Children of same-sex coupled households do not fare as well.
