The famous chicken sandwich chain nearly missed being included as an option at the campus food court at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Student senator-at-large Niko Martini asked the Student Government Association to pass a resolution urging the Catholic university to reconsider offering Chick-fil-A because some students felt the restaurant’s traditional view of marriage discriminated against the LGBT community and offered no ‘safe space’ for them. So far, no resolution has been passed. It looks like the minority got outvoted by the rest of the student body, which sees the chicken chain for what it is, a great place to get lunch.
